It saddens me to hear of the passing of Father David Ritcher... I - TopicsExpress

It saddens me to hear of the passing of Father David Ritcher... I met him in August of 2006. I had been in a horrible car accident a few days prior and was at LSU medical center. I had undergone surgery to mend my broken femur bones, rods & screws in both legs. I was depressed, no appetite and mostly laid there crying because the pain was unspeakable. I had no desire to walk. My legs were black and blue, bruised from the wreck and surgery. Then I had a visitor, it was Father Ritcher. He said he was sent there to pray with me. He and Bryan stood by my bed and he prayed over me with beautiful wooden rosary beads and we put them around my neck. The next day, the physical therapists came and got me out of bed. Bryan was gone to find something to eat. I actually had an excited feeling and an odd burst of energy. They put a belt around my waist and I walked several laps up and down the hallway! It was like a miracle! I kept those rosary beads with me for years. I would leave them with my daddy when he would be in the hospital and he always pulled through. Sorry such a long post, but just wanted to share my experience. Father Ritcher was truly a man of God.
