It seems a great many cars and trucks are being gone through at night while parked in owners driveways. Not to berate any person, as I myself have done it many times, it seems the common thread is unlocked vehicles. So just as a reminder for us all, (me too) most thieves are basically lazy, busting a window requires effort. It also exposes them to additional risk of being observed or setting off a car alarm. However if they can see a item of value inside they usually wont hesitate, this may include a cell phone charger cord that goes under the seat & they cant determine if a phone is attached. I am much more aware now than ever before. They take something of mine theyre gonna have to work for it. And their butt will definitely be on the line while theyre doing it. I know we are all busy and tired when we come home at night. I try to make it a habit to take a quick sweep of my car for anything of value, then lock it & take my keys to the bed side in case I need to alert neighbors at night . Lets make a pact to make these scumbags work for it.
