It seems like perfectionism is everywhere. Especially noticed a lot in the fitness and nutrition industry. So many people are looking for the perfect body, perfect weight, perfect diet, and more. It may seem like a wise approach to life – just do everything flawlessly and youll be praised for reaching such a level of perfectness. But, really you cant kid yourself too long. The quest for perfectionism has a very toxic side, so much so it that can be quite debilitating to your life and emotional well being. It sets us up for the feeling of constant failure, and keeps us in a habitual state of never feeling good enough about who we are, our rate of progress, how we eat, and what we look like. We become so obsessed with reaching some false image of perfection we lose our joy and cripple our self-esteem. No one is perfect. There is not an ideal body that you must achieve. There isnt a perfect way to eat, and you will have flips and flops because lets admit it, we are all human! Instead of pressuring yourself into constantly striving for perfection, focus on your day to day efforts and changing old habits to healthier ones. Coach Jennie
