It seems that the identity of Lucy Beale’s killer might have been revealed by a reflection on her phone… Scenes of a shadowy figure burying the dead girl’s wallet and phone may hold the clue to the identity of her murderer, and fans up and down the country have been rewinding and pausing to try and unravel the mystery. Who is it?? The episode has now been taken off iPlayer (CONSPIRACY??) but one particularly persistent viewer has studied the (let’s be honest, very fuzzy) image closely and believes he has the answer. And that answer is… Jay. Of course, the scene could be a red herring thrown in by the BBC – who said that the person burying Lucy’s possessions is the same person who killed her? Or that reflection could have been unintentional – some unlucky cameraman perhaps? What’s your verdict? Is it Jay? Someone else? Or is the whole thing pointless supposition?
