It was 13 years ago, yes I remember it well. We were at work and the news broke that a plane hit the world trade center, my first thought was a small site seeing plane or something like that. We had a small tv in our café at work and we went around to see what it was, the images that followed were anything but small. We all stood in disbelief and wondered how could this happen and why. Then as most started to make their way back to work it happened, the second plane hit the towers. I remember watching it and thought there is no way this is happening. Then we started hearing of the Pentagon, and my disbelief turned into fear, fear that this is it, WWIII is about to go down or even worse. I feared that I had told enough people in my life how much I love them and need them, and what theyve meant to me. I hope that one day this world can find peace, as cliché as that sounds its the truth. We can lose people in our lives at the blink of an eye for so many different reasons but losing them to the acts of terrorists is the hardest I think to take. Please say a prayer today and everyday for those whove lost their lives and their families and friends theyve left behind. Please say a prayer for our troops and their families who defend our freedom today and for those who have given their ultimate sacrifice for this country.
