It was Oct. 1 my mom was sent to the hospital because of my baby brother he was to early. My mom stayed there for two days to me it felt like two years. Me and my brother Kaid stayed at my cousins house she lives in Midland. It was hard for us getting to school so we missed one day Friday. The house phone was started to ring my heart started to beat like it was was beating for its life. I started to walk in circles wondering what it was in my mind all I thought was. Is it good news or is it bad news, is it good news or is it bad news? Then all I hear is, Okay Ill tell them. I ran in to the room where my cousins mom was talking and I asked, Tell us what? She replied, Your mom had the baby this morning! Slowly a smile began to come to my face and my heart beat began to slow down. I was so happy I immediately asked Can we visit my mom in the hospital? She said yes, At 3:15 While I walked away I wondered where was the baby born? I slowly walked backwards on the soft grey carpet trying to do the moon walk and asked, Which hospital was he born in? With a smile on my cousins moms face she replied, East General Hospital. It was 3:15 it was time to visit my mom. But when we got there all we see is my mom and a babys bed. First I went to go hug my mom then I went to see the baby. Slowly as I walked towards the babys bed putting a side the tiny yellow curtain in front of it I put my head higher so I can see the baby but I did it slowly and quietly so I wont wake the baby up. But when I look closely inside the bed it was Empty. With a worried face I asked where is the baby. My mom told me that when the baby was born all the blood from his body was sent to protect his brain but then he was not breathing for at-least 10 sec. While my mom told me what happened I could see the sadness in her eyes. Even though, my mom continued the story she told me that he was sent to Sick Kids because where he was born there are no cold beds. Even though I didnt know what cold beds are, I understood. (they are probably cold) From Oct.4 to Oct.14 my family have been going back and forth from Sick Kids hospital and back. At first me and my brother kid were not allowed to see the baby so we stayed at the tv room, at least thats what I called it. I obviously called it that because there was a tv, but not only that there was a REMOTE! The room was a bunch of green chairs lined up around the walls of the room and there were four coffee tables in the middle lined up vertically. It smelled like the purple version of fabreze. Then one day one of the nurses said that we can come in but one at a time. My brother got to go first, I lost in rock paper scissors. Any who when my brother got back he said to me the funniest thing he said, The baby looks Chinese. I laughed my head off. It was time for me to see my baby brother while I walked towards the room there was a chalk board it said things like get well soon Charlie stay strong Stan It brought a tear to my face. When I walked in it smelled like nothing literally nothing because we had to be clean as possible. What surprised me most was there were six more babies in the room they were all in wires and a bed, but my baby brother was in wires and a cold bed with a glass case over him. He was only wearing a diaper, I wondered I am cold in here wearing a jacket and my baby brother is on a cold bed wearing nothing? As the days past we got closer and closer to the baby and Oct.14 was the day we can take him home. The Doctor wanted to say a goodbye and with that good bye he said, That is one lucky baby. With a tear of joy running down my face I said, We know. As we were leaving the room I stopped at the chalk board and wrote, Happy Endings do exist and all you have to do is wait and stay strong. Concluding paragraph: What I learned through this wild journey is that even though
