It was Roger-mania in India,when Tennis Superstar Roger Federer descended in Delhi,together with an amazing array of Tennis Greats ,old and new, for the inaugural IPTL (International Premier Tennis League),a unique tennis tournament ,with 4 international teams (Manila/India/UAE/Singapore). Apart from some superb tennis,there was a lot of bonhomie,camraderie,cheer girls, stunning atmospherics! I watched it all, on TV ,and enjoyed every moment of it.! Indian Tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi deserves full credit,for launching this unique brand of Tennis, after it proved very popular with Cricket. All the tennis players admitted on camera, that they thoroughly enjoyed the high spirits and the huge audiences-! The final day even brought on the Bollywood Superstars on the courts,together with the Tennis superstars,and it was difficult to figure out who got more screams and roars from the audience-- But it seemed that all of them were rooting for one individual- the 17-time Grand Slam winner, Roger Federer ! I loved the Indianisation of his name- Raja Federer-! As well his Indian cuisine-isation- Hes spicier than chicken tikka-masala !
