It was a loooong trip to rochester. We had a low tire yesterday, Bob showed me how to put air in the tire, I used the little tire pressure thingy to check pressure, then used the air hose at both home and holiday (yes, impressed arent you!!). Checked the pressure when we left at 11. Didnt make it to Sauk center before the tire pressure sensor went off again. Bob didnt say a word, no advice about what to do. Stopped at holiday for air, googled tire shops, drove there, pulled into this tiny tire/gas station, told them what was happening I have a really low tire, my husband is sick, we have a long drive, fix it. He said ok, pulled his jack over, took the tire off, inspected the tire, tire was separating, told him to show me (you better not think Im stupid because Im a woman), told him I wanted a tire. He said new or used, he had a really good used tire for $40. Told him that would work. That was the tire, putting it on the rim, balancing and he inspected all the remaining tires. Unfortunately, that added an hour to our drive. I asked Bob if he would have done anything differently. He asked me what I thought about the spare. I said that lots of time its a donut tire, I would have to take everything out of the trunk and if its not a real tire I would have to still buy a tire. He said thats exactly what he would have done. Then we ran into an accident by the airport, sigh. Didnt get here till 4:30. Long day. He didnt look very well this morning but with all the excitement he perked up!
