It was an honor to join friends and neighbors for this weekends ribbon cutting at Millertons new Visitor Center, the Irondale Schoolhouse. These folks did an amazing job at moving and restoring this wonderful 19th century structure. They kept everything original, even the chalkboard! The siting makes this treasure a perfect stopping point along the Harlem Valley Rail Trail and a charming backdrop for musicians to play during the Millerton Farmers Market! Historic gems like this not only remind us of our roots, but they become economic drivers as well. Look forward to seeing new faces in Millerton. It is the place to be!
