It was good to see that under the recently proposed NYS budget that taxpayer funds were not going to be used for the college education of inmates. I have no problem with private funds being used for this but to treat convicted criminals to free education and giving them as many educational benefits, if not more than the GI Bill provides for our soldiers is wrong, plain and simple, not matter what the claimed benefits are. Not to mention the good, law abiding college students who go into debt paying for their education! Have a good Thursday my friends!
