TO LOVE GOD IS TO OBEY HIS COMMANDS!!! [3] For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome (1 John 5:3). The true love of God is obeying God and doing HIS Will; that is living our lives according to the commands in the Bible; if we truly have faith and trust in Jesus. Faith and trust in Jesus is not an act of thinking a miracle, sign or wonder into taking place, for it to happen; but faith is dependency on Gods Word - trusting that Gods Word is the Word of Truth, and shall surely be accomplished; because of that, we treasure HIS Word more than gold and silver and obey them wherever we are. [4] For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith (1 John 5:4). Those who are truly born again have overcome this world - in that, they obey every inch of Gods commands - they do not follow any pattern of the world again. They are able to be obedient to God, because of their faith in Jesus, which is their trust and confidence in the LORD; which has generated their dependency upon the WORD of God; that comes from their love for God. Love generates trust and faith; and therefore, the result is obedience. 1. NO TATTOO!!! [28] You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh on account of the dead or tattoo any marks upon you: I am the LORD. 2. DO NOT PROFANE YOUR DAUGHTER!!! [29] Do not profane your daughter by making her a harlot, lest the land fall into harlotry and the land become full of wickedness. 3. KEEP MY SABBATHS!!! [30] You shall keep my sabbaths and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD. 4. NO WITCHES OR WIZARDS!!! [31] Do not turn to mediums or wizards; do not seek them out, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God. 5. TREAT THE OLD WITH RESPECT!!! [32] You shall rise up before the hoary head, and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God: I am the LORD (Leviticus 19:28-32) (To Be Continued).
