It was great to be out & about today after being housebound for the last week. Week 2 of the football season never got to do a blog last week but here we go for 2014/15. After coming in off the bench last week to make his debut for his new club Parkfields he got the nod to start this week against Hampstead Fc.And by God did he take his chance starting at the back he reminded me of God (Sean Carey) in his hay day. Very comfortable on the ball using both feet & hoofing it when he had. Went into midfield in the 2nd half & was his usual terrier self. Won 3-1 with Darragh sharing man of the match with Christian. Goals coming from Eamon (2) & Leo earned the victory with Darragh coming with two assists. Even though it was sad for Darragh to leave St. joes I think the fresh challenge is was Darragh needed. Sinead headed off to Greenford with Ciaran but wasnt a great day in the office. With only the bare numbers which included one of the keepers having to play out field they ended up getting beaten by 7-1. First game of the season so Im sure this team will rise to the challenge of their next game and show what a good side they are. Its transition at the moment as 5 players from last year have moved on. Onwards and upwards. Conors season not starting until October but training is currently going very well & Con was outstanding last week in a friendly against Pinner Albion. No blog next week as will be too busy watching Sam return home. Ciarrai Abu.
