It was in a Dry season, warmth of sun made the entire city look like a beautiful and dreamy holiday resort Emeka was 21, with a natural toned physique, dark black short spiky hair and innocent eyes. He lived at home with his parents and their family was like any other, but with relatively open minded outlook than most one would come across in a town like this. Do you think you’ll be okay with that?” Emeka could not believe what he heard, very first time in life he find himself attracted to a man and not only this man is his first boss but also is telling him on first day of his job that he is Gay and that he preferred his team members are aware of the fact and are comfortable with it. Emeka looked right in Steve’s eyes and said “I have been raised in a family where these things don’t matter or change how we look at someone. I am perfectly fine with it and to be honest, I think I am too as I have never been attracted to a woman and I have never dated one.” Sven smiled and said “All good then, welcome to GenTech and I look forward to working with you.” And they both shook hands again. It had been 3 months Emeka worked with Bola, also a Junior Consultant, a 25 year old Yoruba guy and Kristina, Planning Coordinator, a 24 year old Spanish girl and everyone got along really well. Steve was admired and liked by all as a boss and the team was one of the best in the company. Emeka felt welcomed and became good friends with everyone including Steve, in last three months. It was Emeka’s first appraisal when Steve and Emeka sat together one on one again, after their first ever meeting, to discuss his performance in last three months. Steve spoke in his ever charming and seductive voice “Emeka, before we discuss today’s appraisal I need to be upfront about something and I need you to understand what I am going to tell you now has no bearing, positive or negative on your appraisal.” Emeka looked surprised and a bit nervous; wondering if he had done anything wrong or could Sven have guessed Emeka’s attraction towards himself and if this is going to reflect badly on his career. Steve continued, “Since the day I first saw you, I found you attractive and have had to control my feelings for you because I could not compromise the integrity of my job as well as put you in a awkward situation and create any kind of discomfort in your work environment.
