It was inspiring to see the Muslims March for the brothers in Gaza. My heart goes out to the Muslims who are suffering, all over the world. However I do believe we must first clean up our own backyard before trying to save the world...imagine this: A mans own house is falling down but he uses his resources to help his neighbor to build his. Would that be considered rational? The state of the Muslims in Trinidad and Tobago is like a headless chicken. Who is the leader of the Muslims? Who defends the rights of the Muslims in Trinidad? Who do we turn to for rulings and Judgements? Islam has been made into a religion. We have forgotten that Islam is not just praying salaat and going to Jummah. Islam is a way of life literally. We need brotherhood in Trinidad! Love and unity. Not one set of Muslims vs the other set....we have become divided in sects....each having their own agenda, none really trying to implement the shahada. The true meaning of it. The real meaning....the one that when it was uttered in Mecca men had stones placed on their chest because of it. We say it all the time There is no God but Allah(swt).....but it ruffles no feathers....why not? Liberal society? Is this a accurate translation of our creed? Something is missing! What is the real interpretation? The philosophy behind this statement? See the book milestones for the answer. May Allah(swt) bless all the Muslims, May he help us to become sincere in our obedience to his commands, May he wipe away our bad deeds and Grant us the gardens of Bliss. Amen.
