It was the day after Christmas in 1960 that 16 year old Brenda Lee released her hit single Emotions which eventually rose to #7 on the Pop chart. Her real name was Brenda Mae Tarpley. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, The Country MusicHall of Fame, and the Rockabilly Hall of Fame and received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Chuck Berry immortalized Brendas high school life and early career in a song he wrote and recorded called simply, Brenda Lee.
