It was the worst of times, it was the best of times. X-ray was a BEEYOTCH..... getting my wounded wing into the various needed positions took time and was exceedingly not fun, even tho the tech was quite patient, understanding and hot. The DOC at Ortho on the other hand.... holy buckets is this guy good!!! Theres three kinds of doctors. The methodical scientist, a little detached, personally, more focused on process rather than patient-- you can still get good care from this lot. Theres the businessman doc who will order the quickest (and usually most expensive) route to some sort of relief or fix for the problem but ten minutes later couldnt tell you if his last patient was male or female... And then theres a born healer going for the most focused and direct route to a solution to a problem, never taking their mind off of the entire person sitting in front of them. Dr Richard Reut at HCMC/Orthopedic clinic is firmly in the last camp. Rather than order an MRI, we did some fairly painful exam stuff and did a Lidocane/Cortisone treatment and ordered one session with a physical terrorist to learn some exercise techniques (as opposed to 7 weeks of bi-weekly visits the Med Clinic guy ordered.) My shoulder already isnt throbbing, and I can extend it, albeit weakly, and as Im uninsured (not for long,) this doc not only got me headed towards Curesville, but EASILY saved me several thousands of dollars in diagnostic and repeat visit expenses. Totally wrote him up for that shizz because superior service merits that kinda thing.
