It would seem that black Americans, our brothers and sisters, would be the first people to embrace equality, based on their long struggle. But when it comes to our LGBT citizens, black Americans turn their back. Not all, of course, but a stunningly large percentage. I think that is due to the grip that the goofy American religions have on the black population. Of all people---of all people---they should understand that we either have equality for all or we dont have equality at all. I thought of this yesterday---if our veterans fought for freedom then they fought for the freedom of our LGBT brothers and sisters to be EQUAL to the rest of us. You dont get to pick who is equal.....Martin Luther King, Jr. taught us that.
