An idea struck him, and he checked for messages and drank his tea and ate a pizza with salami, and headed out the door. Not knowing the time, except for when he stayed in his house, he knew where he wanted to go and why. Tommy focused his mind on a very familiar face, and flew right to the level and in front of the person’s door. He knew he arrived at the right door because he marked it on his earlier excursions. Standing in front of the door, he knocked. He smiled almost ear to ear but a little bit nervous about what he wanted to ask when the door opened. “Hello.” John Bonham said, “Hi.” Tommy asked, “Did I catch you at a bad time?” “No, I was just painting. Come in.” “Tommy’s hands fidgeted as he entered John’s hall that lead into a living room with easels everywhere with paintings of cars. ““Wow,” Tommy said, “You really like to paint. Last time I was here you didn’t have those many paintings.” “Yeah, yeah, I’m making these for my first exhibition. I’m calling it Bonham rolling gallery” “I guess it’s a bad time to ask if I could join your band.” “Well you could if we sort of didn’t disband for now. I’m too much into what I’m doing now.” “I like to paint,” Tommy said. “Yeah, that’s cool. Here is the thing Tommy, most artists in heaven like to use their minds to paint. I like to use a paint brush. It makes it very real to me. I know that it is with me hands.” “Do you make your own paints and paint brushes? “Tommy asked. “I buy them at the art store not too far from here. If you’re interested I can take you there and you can see what you like. It’s a very popular place.” Tommy thought a second, reached into his jean pocket and felt around for his gold coins. Satisfied, he took his hands out of his pocket and said, “If youre reading, I’ll go.”
