Its **Day 1** of tracking lead guitars for the next Bumblefoot - TopicsExpress

Its **Day 1** of tracking lead guitars for the next Bumblefoot album, woohoo!! youtu.be/cYNkiA58azI I love when you listen to a band and hear the personality of each individual player in the songs, each person adding their part. But when you have a song with additional layers of guitar parts, its important to not let the players identity get diluted in the layers of sounds. A good way to keep continuous presence is to have the individual use just one amp throughout the song, but vary the levels of Preamp and Power Amp (Master Volume) gain for different tracks. For warmer punchy guitar parts, use less Preamp gain and more Master Volume gain. For more drive and saturation, use more Preamp gain and less Master Volume gain. In this video Im recording lead guitar parts for the song Sleepwalking using AmpliTubes *Engl Powerball* amp, varying the Preamp and Master Volume gain on different lead guitar tracks for variety, yet keeping continuity. Thanks for watching!
