Its Day 9 of the 12 Days of Movement and the topic for today is the deadlift. Whether its rehab or training, the deadlift is a very important portion of an individuals program. Years of sitting in chairs will cause a person to loss the ability to move through the hips which will eventually cause damage in the locomotor system. Getting an individual to reestablish a hip dominant pattern when bending or lifting can save an individual years of pain and discomfort. The deadlift, if done properly, will help create lumbar stability and gluteal strength which is usually what most of the general population (and even some in the athletic population) lack. #12daysofmovement #movementisthemedicine #deadlift #hipdominant #boom
