Its FOODSday (sounds like Tuesday, get it?) so heres a great recipe you can enjoy without too much guilt- a ketogenic mug cake! A ketogenic diet is high fat, adequate in protein and low in carbs. Do some research and discover if its right for you. KETO MUG CAKE Ingredients: 2 tbls butter, melted 3 tbls almond meal 1 tsp coconut flour 1 heaping tbls cocoa powder 1 tbls sweetener (we use a trivia blend) 1/4 tsp baking powder 1 egg Additional mix-ins! Directions: Mix all ingredients in coffee mug. Mix well to make sure egg is fully integrated. Add in any additional mix-ins you like! We like to splurge on a few dark chocolate chips and put a scoop of almond butter in the middle! (Mix the chips in, dont mix in the almond butter- itll get warm and runny in the middle- yum!) Microwave for 1 minute. ENJOY! Chocolate-free version: Replace the cocoa powder with 1 tbls vanilla protein powder, and add in 1/8 tsp vanilla extract. Tastes like birthday cake!
