Its SUNDAY!!!! and we actually saw the sun and felt its warmth!! Kitty spent the weekend with us and we had a great time. She spent time playing some math game part of the time, and assisted in shopping. We went to Angelies and we did well until we went into the liquor store and she started doing pirouettes in the isles, the picture in my mind of rows and rows of progressively more expensive wines and booze tipping over and crashing,,, we made a quick retreat! I was trying to remember stuff that Dad and I did the other day, and for some reason the time that Dad was giving me a ride to Norway Mi. to the hospital, when I broke my foot. We were northbound up 141 between Beecher and Pembine, and we were the head of the line of cars,,, the speedometer said 55 mph. so Dad just kept on going. As the southbound lane became clear, cars started to pass, and as the last car passed, the woman in the back turned around in the seat and shook her fist at us. Dad reared up and flipped her the bird, and yelled Up your bucket. My foot was throbbing and oh did it hurt, and I started laughing and he was pissed. Well I was doing 55!! which just made me laugh more! I did alot of things with Dad and he taught me so much. How to drop trees and make them go where I wanted them to go. And how to drop them so I didnt have to drag the big logs, but could pull the smaller ones back to the pile already started. I remember the time he tapped my shoulder, and scared the crap out of me, his face looked like hamburger! The saw had hit a dead twig as he was scoring the bark on a tree, and the saw kicked up and hit his face on the left side. Wow, it looked bad. We went to Dr. Lees office in Wausaukee, to get repaired but she didnt want to do it, (later we heard that she was scared of blood.) and she wanted us to go to Marinette, but Dad refused and said he would just go home and have Mom take care of it! Well, Dr Lee took care of it, and did a good job, when all she did was give him a shot or two of novacaine. He had to start shaving with an electric razor, as regular razors would cut the tops off of the scars, looking like a blood bath every morning! Dad and I had the distinguished privilege of having the same date and signature on our High School Diplomas! It was important to Dad that the world knew that he was not stupid! He went to night school and got a High School equivalency Diploma. The Principle was the same and the date was the same. He was so proud and so were we! Mom would never admit it but she was so happy for him!! She knew her man, and knew that he was a lot smarter than he or most everyone else thought that he was. Dad would accept less than he had coming to him, because he didnt want to make waves. At Acme Tree services, he was the foreman for a while, and when the original foreman came back, Dad could have stayed as the foreman but he didnt want to take the other guys job, so he stepped back into his old job and the other guy made his life miserable until he just quit, and went to cutting pulp for David McTrusty. He didnt make as much money but David treated him great, and with respect. and Dad always gave 200 percent and they were both happy. Well Mellisa came to pick Kitty up,and decided to stay the night. So I think that Im going to spend some family time for a while. Then start another week tomorrow! Spring is coming and I have a year and a half to Retirement!! Goodnight and God Bless you all! I love you all and hope your lives are on track for happiness! I had contact today from 3 guys that I was in the Army with, on facebook, and it was good, now if we can just stay in contact without fighting, I mean 4 guys in their 60s and we all probably think our way is the only way! (except mine really is!) In the words of Jesse Edwards, God loves you and so do I! Really Love you all!
