Its a kitchen day inside and a planting day outside. Ive done pie and cookies for tomorrow - a little bribe for Josh who is coming to help plant rose bushes, and possibly a couple of trees and the rest of the things Ken has not done. Ken finished the NEW front bed with a rose bush and pansies, and he has two more rose bushes to plant after taking out a couple large shrubs in the front yard; got that done before the drizzle started, but it must have worn him out.....taking his afternoon siesta now. Really dont know what tomorrow will bring in terms of weather, but it will be nice to see Josh regardless. He can certainly dispense his gardening advice for later is its raining. Trees are finally turning. and the one in our front yard is a gorgeous orange - well, actually there are two like that. and the leaves are falling like crazy, so I suppose winter is on the way; hope we get to enjoy this mild stuff for a week or so anyway. Besides cooking much of the morning, I managed to swap out the floral arrangements to something a bit more fallish....still havent found my wreaths for the door, but I know they are hiding somewhere. And we have more than enough Halloween candy left since we had NO trick or treaters - were a little off the beaten path....still......a far cry from the hordes of ghosts and goblins in the former neighborhood. Guess Ill have to let Ken munch on the 3 Muskateers bars. Sigh! Ive got to get back to writing - all this domestic stuff is just not ME!
