Its a shame to be made to feel like you dont care about your job. We spend every holiday, every birthday, and even spend final moments with our residents. We dry up the tears when there free flowing, share witty jokes and comments, listen to hopes-dreams-fears. We develop bad habits from a lack of understanding. A lack of understanding of consequences and what is the true reality of a situation. Articles stating how poor staffing or quality of care are so insanely heart breaking. How would you like it if someone came to your home and judged you on things that are not even in your control? Then..proceeded to publish their findings in the local paper? We all get upset about these articles, but what about the elderly man who sits and reads his paper in the morning while eating breakfast? To sit there and read about the place he lives is under attack by people who go home at night and not think twice about him..its disrespectful. We are told to not promote negativity to one another, to residents, to our families...what about these articles?
