Its all in a days work in LCMS Africa mission field: LCMS Communications photojournalist Erik Lunsford, who is chronicling an LCMS mercy roofing project in Madagascar, received as a thank you gift a live goat, turkey and chickens from a Lutheran congregation he was photographing. He writes: Today I received two embroidered thank you notes written on bath towel-sized strips of fabric, a straw bed and two traditional ethnic hats! Today we visited two churches so far out that there were no roads - just brush... Not used to being a temporary ambassador.
