Its already difficult enough to allow for people invested in an issue to be present at a public testimony - teachers, for example, kinda sorta cant just run down to the statehouse to debate Senate Bill 5 on a Tuesday morning in March... cause were doing that job that you think were doing so terribly... in fact, come to think of it, public hearings held in the middle of a weekday are only convenient for the elected officials AND the lobbyists whose actual job is to show up at these things. Anyways. To schedule a hearing like this and then postpone it at the last minute is just disrespectful. Its also another indication that the board knows EXACTLY what its up to, even though they claim its a simple, innocent change.
