Its also important for anyone that maybe taking this journey to know that leg spasms along with phantom pain is very normal. Your nerves are trying to heal, so they tend to jump around. If you think about it when they cut ur nerves they pull them back and let them go so they go back up into your leg, that way their not to close to the bottom of your residual limb. Once they go back into the leg they began to heal. This can. Cause them to be over active n jump around or twitch . This is my understanding of it anyway. Adding heat on the thigh can help relax the nerves. Its also very normal for this to happen very often in the first 3 to 6 months before it starts to calm down, at least thats what I read in my pamphlet books and online .
