Its always hard to know what to do for someone battling a life threatening condition who is in a fight for their life, everyday. My Happy Place understands perfectly: •They understand that kids who dont feel well need a comfortable, Happy Place, of their own to rest and recover. •They understand that hard working families dedicate most of their resources to keeping the child well. •They understand that families are tired and often overwhelmed with daily medications and side effects, symptoms, appointments, tests, travel, insurance companies, pharmacies, specialty pharmacies, oxygen and medical equipment. •They understand that such an act of kindness makes a meaningful, life changing impact for the child, the family and the community. Lisa, Deidra, the sponsors and all of the volunteers are making a meaningful difference for kids, one child at a time. We are honored and blessed to have their support. A heartfelt thank you to John Berding and Jake Prazak from NIP Fitness in MC and Sharon Boehnke from Garner for sponsoring Brooke and to Eric Suby, Love and Luck Photography for the amazing pictures. If you are looking for an organization to support, there is none better. My Happy Place. Our mission: To be part of the emotional healing of children affected by illness and disease by providing them with a happy and safe place to heal. We will do this by working closely with the child and families to design and redecorate a personalized bedroom or space within the familys home. We will fill this space with items that are meaningful to the child and in a style they choose; to include items that can be brought to hospitals or treatment facilities if needed. Our goal is provide My Happy Place for each child involved.
