Its an unfortunate reality that too many cops are illiterates and morons. The reason for this is that the only requirement to become a cop is a high school diploma and equivalency diplomas are acceptable, which means that obtaining a diploma online or in night school is acceptable. Anyone thats ever received a ticket from NYC police already knows that interpreting what a cop writes on that ticket requires a divining rod. NYC needs to raise the bar of requirements for people to qualify for the NYPD, because too many cops are functioning idiots. How about intelligence quotients tests?? Im amazed that this cop could read, even as he read a statute that revealed how stupid he is.
