Its astonishing to me---having heard the brief, but lavishly pretentious response of Dr Rosenberg, as well as scanning the very confident posts which follow---to consider the extent to which true believers in Darwin ((who never seems to require such elaborate new sophistries to remain relevant to their invincible assumptions about the infinite capacity of Evolution to provide ALL answers, and neutralize ALL challenges)) are utterly insusceptible to so much as a suggestion of the slightest deviation from their cherished orthodoxy. They operate out of a logic-tight compartment, impenetrable, ironically impervious to alteration, and ironically full of faith---that contemporary science has staked out, on the back of a 150-year-old Darwinism, an infallible system of interpretation which may, under no circumstance, be successfully contradicted. And they do not suffer heretics gladly. If everything that science has learned in the past 15 years points to a supervening intelligence having been necessarily, or even likely, involved in master-MINDing the creation of the Universe, the response is fore-ordained. There simply MUST be another explanation. And, BY GOD!.... er, by garsh, we WILL find it. Or invent it. Or imagine it. But one thing we will NEVER do, and that is succumb to a theistic model of Creation! No such evidence will be recognized, and none admitted. It is precluded. Science has spoken. Gods been ousted. And he aint comin back! Not while were around. Pity.
