Its been a long, busy, back-busting weekend. Didnt get as much done as we had hoped, but then were not as young as we used to be. Sure wish we had the budget to pay someone to do all this labor, but we will get er done somehow. 1st shot, early Saturday morning, before delivery of the shower base, which didnt come until Sunday. So finished getting the supporting posts and cross beams in place, and framed in the linen closet. 2nd shot, Martin arrives mid day today to help get the shower base in place. The base alone weighs 240 lbs. Took all 3 of us to get it set into the floor. 3rd shot, the base is in place, and no damage done to it our any of us! 4th shot, for those of you who think Im just a pretty face and a go-for, I am taping and mudding in the linen closet. I have done more than my fair share of the work, just cant do too much heavy lifting due to neck/back ruptured discs. Still lots to do, but project blah to spa continues at the pace of the 50+ that we are, so it will get done when it gets done.
