Its been a long time in the making, but Im pleased to announce that a bipartisan Farm Bill has finally passed the Senate and is headed to the Presidents desk. The bill reduces the deficit, transitions from direct payments to crop insurance, boosts conservation and keeps nutrition programs strong for Minnesota families. As a member of the conference committee, I also fought to support rural development, agricultural research and a strong energy title. This bill will give our farmers the certainty they need to grow and thrive.
