Its been one of those months at PR INC where I have had to take the good with the bad as you do ... In the past month we have re homed many rescues that have been here from 1 week up to 12 months and I thank each and every re homer for opening up their homes for the PR INC horses and ponies but i truly need to add...cherish your time with your horse or pony love them like they have never been loved before because at the blink of an eye it can all change through no fault of any one , just the unknown and it can happen to any one. It is my practice here on Pony Rescues profile to try and leave emotions out of it, but today I want to share this .... you can spend 0 dollars or 10k on a horse, you can have it 5 min or 15 years and there are just some things you have no control over. One minute running around, strutting their stuff, playing and the next minute gallons and gallons of blood running from their nostril and sudden blindness and disorientation then weakness from blood loss, it is the risk we take with every animal- the unknown!! I am fortunate I have seen this before (not for a long time i must admit) but it doesnt get any easier witnessing it and watching the pain and suffering until you can bring it to an end... some times i think the more you see and the older you get the more it hurts - hurts like hell..... - Tania
