Its good to be the boss. Its also a lot of pressure and, if youre the owner, risk. Its hard work. You know who else works hard? Your employees. All year theyre working their butts off keeping your dream alive. Sometimes theyre making you wealthy, other times comfortable and in some instances, just keeping the business afloat. Still, theyve got their nose to the grindstone every day. Are they perfect? None of us are. But theyre your team. Make sure you take care of them this holiday season. Sometimes their whole Christmas is dependent on your bonus. You know you dont pay them a ton of dough so take this opportunity to show your appreciation instead of fostering resentment. Happy people work harder for you. Invest in their future and yours. Personally, Im self employed. Im thinking of throwing myself a one-man Christmas party and giving myself a fat envelope with a little something extra in it. I know Ill appreciate it.
