Its important to understand that not everyone experiences withdrawal issues from psych meds. Some people experience little or no withdrawal issues at all. Its also true that some people become heinously ill from the iatrogenic injury that is incurred upon psychiatric drug withdrawal. Both these things happen. In the discussion about this its important to allow and acknowledge for experiences other than the ones weve had. We dont really know what the actual stats are. We do know that a lot of folks are told that their withdrawal issues are the underlying issue and so they resume their medications while becoming all the more convinced they cannot live with the substance that is actually making them sick. It gets very complicated out there.
