Its just been pointed out to me that in the New Zealand National Partys election ad, none of the rowers are wearing lifejackets. This is, apparently, against the law; and is pretty downright dangerous in case of a capsize. So, haphazard with the rule of law and prone to serious disaster due to failure to provide a safety-net. Yup, thats National. Meanwhile, the rowers in the New Zealand Labour Party-Green Party of Aotearoa New Zealand-Internet Party boat are all wearing lifejackets. Legal, legit, and much less unsafe for all concerned. Particularly because theyve thought ahead and provided something to keep you afloat in tough times for all their people... Sounds about right :P
