Its looking like the first shovelable snow of the season may arrive this weekend. Raymore Public Works crews will be pre-treating streets with a salt brine solution on Thursday and Friday and will be on-duty all weekend to deal with any accumulating snow. The first snow of the season is always challenging for drivers and the plows. Please allow extra room for stopping and give snowplows room to work as the plows are wide and may cross the centerline. For both your safety, and the safety of your vehicle, please don’t follow too closely behind the plows and try not to pass. If you must pass, take extreme caution and beware of the snow cloud that may obstruct your vision. Hopefully, the weathermen are right and warmer temperatures will return next week.
