Its nice to be nice.. Yvonne has given up her own time receiving no payment for many years working at the All Saints Church in Lewisham. Yvonne throughout the year never turns anyone away ensuring they are fed and have a warm drink inside of them. Yvonne runs the community coffee shop that also collects clothes, furniture and food to ensure those that have hit poverty smack in the face have someone to turn to. Yvonne also feeds some 500 people every Christmas that do not have family, live on the street or cannot afford to have a Christmas dinner. Today Yvonne was presented with a much needed Disabled scooter by the Knights Group as a token of thanks for everything that she does in a community where many of the Knights Group staff come from. Mr Tony Knights said today “Yvonne felt emotionally overwhelmed which is how so many people feel after receiving the generosity she normally gives out. I have seen Yvonne in action for some 5 years now and she inspires everyone that comes into contact with her. The Knights Group feel proud that they have helped to make Yvonne realise just how special she is to everyone”. “Yvonne was speechless and emotional with the jester stating that she couldn’t thank Tony Knights and all at Knights Group for their amazing gift”.
