Its no secret that over the past few years I have been involved with a few well known companies. Ive learned a LOT and have grown personally by leaps and bounds! For that, Ill be forever grateful. They have had some pretty impressive missions...fighting obesity, getting healthy, looking great, etc.... All of that is wonderful and it is important. But it never meant too much to me personally. It wasnt until I sat 3 ft across from Co-Founders Derek Maxfield & Melanie Maxfield Huscroft that I really understood what Youniques mission is. Uplift, empower, validate, and ultimately build self-esteem in women. This company was birthed to do this FOR WOMEN! I love the power of that. Do you realize how many women in this world dont feel valued? Its not really even about feeling beautiful. More about feeling VALUED. THAT in itself is huge. Derek set Younique up to pay out 3 hours after every single sale. He did this for women to be able to take better care of themselves and their families TODAY, not next month on payday, but today, RIGHT NOW. Think about a woman that might feel stuck in an abusive situation and not feel like she has any options. Think about that single mama that is struggling to feed her babies and buy diapers. Think of a woman that is busting her butt working a 2nd job so she can help contribute to her household. How many households need mom to get a part time job so ends can be met? Who doesnt need to be uplifted and empowered once in a while? Even those of us that are fortunate enough to have great husbands and support need that boost in self esteem once in a while!!
