Its not Merry Christmas if you are Jewish. Its not Merry Christmas if you are a Jehovahs Witness, or a Pagan, or an athiest, or a Hindu. In fact, it is not Merry Christmas for the overwhelming majority of people on earth. The root/origination of the phrase Happy Holidays was, in fact, the greeting in the 1700s between friends during this time of the year to have Happy holy days, which would cover Hannukah and Christmas equally well. And frankly the number of people who post memes like this but drive past the man in raggedly clothes on the side of the road with the cardboard sign that says Out of work, please help without stopping to offer a bottle of water, a package of crackers or whatever other assistance ANYone in a car can afford to offer is frankly an offense to what Christ taught - so if you dont feed the hungry, help the homeless find housing in some way, visit the sick and imprisoned or reach out to the poor, as Christ MANDATED in MAtthew 25:31-46, you can take your Merry Christmas and shove it. Ill stand with the happy holidays people who truly embody Christ long before I will stand with someone who looks down the needy while shouting Keep Christ in Christmas.
