Its not medical, its step one to legalization. Look at crime stats around Denver pot shops and user stats of people with legit medical reasons for getting the cards ( hint really high and really LOW). If you want it legalized for recreational purposes just say so. Dont pretend its for medical use and then hit up college campuses and BARS on your campaign stops to drum up votes. Inform yourself... The way this AMENDMENT is written currently does not call for a doctors prescription, it is a doctor recommendation for ANY chronic condition ( if the pill mill doc says, thats sleeplessness, chronic pain, or anything else you can figure a chronic label for you get the card). The drugwill not be administered by a medical provider or provided through a pharmacy; it can be administered by anyone, no med training required (even those with felonies or drug arrests!). Your children will be able to get it w/o your consent if they can get to a doc that will recommend it! There is NO CIVIL liability for anyone in the chain, from the doc to the seller to the person who grew it!!!! Is there any other product out there with that lack of liability??? Im sure that the young man below had no idea what he was getting onto, but hey! The govt said it was ok, because it was legal, so it has to be safe, right ? I am not opposed to marijuanna use for legit medical problems, but dont kid yourself, this is not it. This is an amendment, if it passes there is no way to take it back without a majority vote of the people of this state. You dont get a mulligan. Havent we already learned the hard way about voting with your passion rather than being educated about what you are really voting for? Read the proposed statute, see the loopholes and make an informed decision.
