Its odd how every time I hear about a musician like Dave Brockie or Dimebag Darrell or Kurt Cobain or Layne Staley. Maybe those in the past, Jimmy, John, Jim, Janice... How come the good always seem to die so young? They had so much more to give to the world!... A wise friend once told me maybe they didnt, maybe they served their purpose. This got me thinking. Maybe it truly is better that these bright stars burn out while etched into our minds. Maybe it is better that we remember them THIS WAY... Do you want to remember your heroes as broken old people? Or do you want to remember them at the pinnacle of their creative being?? Either way RIP to ALL of those people have done something to touch your life even if it was just a passing smile on the street that turned a bad day good. Every day is a special day, its another day to experience the universe. When you are at work, do your job, but leave your head. You are only as happy as you let yourself be. Dont ever be saddened by the passing of a hero, celebrate who they were, whether it be a; brother, sister, father, mother, friend, boyfriend, girlfriend, husband or wife! Everyone is someones hero, remember that next time you think about being ugly to someone else. I have a lot of heroes, there are a lot of artists, friends, acquaintances, musicians and, every day people that have influenced or shaped who I have become.
