Its raining, its pouring and the kids arent snoring. Theyre indoors and need some creative games to keep them stimulated. Well go no further than your baking cupboard. Grab a metal baking sheet, some fridge magnets, a muffin pan and some coloured balls/pom poms or similar and take a look at these cool activities. Kids love playing with magnets on the baking sheet (hand-eye coordination + fine motor skills). The muffin pan offers color matching opportunities (intellectual - sorting + hand-eye co-ordination). You can use the magnets in the muffin pan as well. You can also fill the muffin pan cups each with a different ingredient (rice, flour, water, aqueous cream, etc) for a tactile expeience.). Any other ideas? Share them please. Always manage activities carefully for choking, etc.)
