Its so they can live their lives without going paycheck to paycheck. They provide all of us with an important service. Imagine if every fast food worker went on strike. The country would go into turmoil. I dont agree with how high they want it, but an increase desperately needs to be given. Youre dealing with more and more families having to get second , sometimes third, jobs to provide for their household. Thats not right. If the wage was increased, they would be able to actually see the families they provide for while we still get the food weve come to expect. Its worked in several other countries without their economy crashing, so why cant America catch up? Its just stupidity at this point that people arent paid a livable wage.
