Its such a dark and miserable morning here in Wales, one of those days when it threatens never to get properly light, that I found my thoughts drifting towards spring and Skomer Island. Ive dived and snorkeled in North Haven many times over the years - not for fish but for puffins. Comical and ungainly on land, they are transformed into sleek and efficient predators once underwater.
