Its such an amazing privilege to see someones heart open and light and hope fill their eyes when my hope in Jesus is accepted. The builder who is building our cottage and I have had numerous conversations about Jesus and His gospel and each time we speak i sense how much God loves this man by the way his face lights up at each revelation of the living Christ who prompts these conversations. Diane and I are so enjoying meeting such beautiful people that live nearby. What joy we have with this ability we have been given to connect with people such as these. Some truly wonderful friendships are being made and I am quite excited today at where they are going to. It is such a pleasure to interact with people where money is not the driving force of the relationship. These people survive on next to nothing and yet are soooo grateful to be treated with the dignity that only Christ Jesus is capable of. This builder was God sent because he agreed to build our cottage within the budget we had (which was very limited in the first place), because of the intricate angles involved being a hexagonal shape this is something totally new to this builder but he has not wavered even once in determination to deliver the best he can, and even though he has exceeded the days he anticipated to complete the building he said to me today that he is more than satisfied with the small profit margin he is making, he is delighted with what the Lord has enabled him to do so far and that is reward enough for him. We dont have enough resource to build up the four verandah sections to floor level, so I said to him that we will just lay a small concrete slab instead. He wouldnt have any of it, and wants to dig an additional foundation between the supporting verandah arches and build up a small wall as previously discussed. This will take an additional ten days I reckon and another two loads of stone and about another 15 pockets of cement. The more I told him that we just dont have the money right now for that, he was even more adamant that it must be done! Irrespective of the fact that he will spend a further ten days on the job at no cost to us! I am so humbled by this man and sooooo grateful to the Lord for sending him to us. Please pray for us that finances will be made available to us that we may be able to bless this man and his family. He has truly been such a blessing to us.
