Its taken us a long time to get our heads around this, and after much soul-searching and thought, we applied for a transfer to Belgium. As you may or may not know, we are agents for Roxell, who are based in Maldegem. A position came open a few months ago for which Big applied, and after numerous skype interviews, as well as a visit from the director recently, we have decided to accept the transfer. Big will be responsible for a small portion of the research team. Unfortunately, due to the fact that I do not have French as a 3rd language, I missed the opportunity to take up an office position at the Roxell offices. However, I will hopefully find some form of employment once we are there and settled. So, we will be packing and selling our worldly possessions. Big has to be there by May, and I will follow as soon after that as I possibly can. It will be a major adjustment for both of us, but its now or never. The good news is that it doesnt matter where I live, I can still continue to write a daily blog. The only difference is that it will be like a road trip on steroids, as we face this new venture with trepidation and excitement. We have been told that this is a 2 year contract, with a possibility of a transfer to USA, as the ultimate step. As you know, Sean has lived there for 5 years already, and it would be magnificent for us to spend our golden years in that amazing country. But, one step at a time. One box at a time, and one sad goodbye at a time. I am not sure how many of you would venture across to Belgium as a holiday destination, but we look forward to seeing all of you once we are settled in our new home. We are both sad and happy with this development, but are taking it head-on with optimism. Its exciting guys, we cant afford even one negative thought or vibe....... And its 1 April xxx
