Its that time of year again, when not-for-profit community entreprise Kidzeco is calling upon pregnant mums in West Lothian to get their bumps painted for charity. This years charity, chosen by customers, is ACTSMA (Ally Cadence Trust for Spinal Muscular Atrophy). This charity offers emotional and financial support to families affected by Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 1. SMA is a neuromuscular disease that causes progressive muscle weakness. There is currently no known cure and the average life expectancy is just 8-months-old. Mums will have a lasting memory of their bump painting, in the form of a photo taken by a professional photographer on the day. The Kidzeco Team will ensure that each mummy is given that special treatment and refreshments and nibbles will be provided throughout the day too.
