Its the Sunday before Christmas. As many of you head to church, I - TopicsExpress

Its the Sunday before Christmas. As many of you head to church, I just want to put an important request out to you. Some of you know my family pretty well. Others just what you see here. And anyone who pays attention knows what a rocky year or so my loved ones have had. Here we go again. My Granny Mac has been battling ovarian cancer for 4 years now. Christmas 2010, the one with the huge snow, she spent in UNC hospital, where most of could not make it to spend the day with her. She has fought with more dignity and grace than an 80something yr old woman should be capable of. Two weeks ago we were told her cancer has again spread. This time there will be no treatment. Our friends from Hospice will now be providing care. I have been somewhat keeping this quiet on FB. Wasnt sure if all of my family members on here were ready to share. If you know us, the McIntyres, you know what my grandmother means to this family. You know what THIS means to our family. Please, please keep us in your prayers. My prayer is for this Christmas to be celebrated with her and all my family in her home like we always have. And for us to make wonderful memories. And for my family to accept the coming weeks with the grace, strength and love that she has instilled in each of us. And for our faith to carry us all, as we find strength to carry each other. And prayers especially for my younger cousins, and the kids in this family. Holidays at Granny Macs have always been the one constant for them. Its all they know. And this one is going to be tough. Sorry for the length of this, but I needed to make this request.
