Its very telling that right now on Ventura Blvd. there are 2 enormous billboards advertising for a conservative talk radio show. One is comprised of a single word: MEATY and the other one reads, ITS LIKE BACON FOR YOUR EARS. On the other side of the political spectrum, last night on progressive, independently operated radio station 90.7 KPFK, a guest proclaimed, If youre not veg, youre not a progressive. The truth is that like it or not, ones dietary choices are becoming associated more and more with ones political affiliations. If you eat meat and dairy, you are aligning yourself with the science-denying, proud to be willfully ignorant, ultra-conservative, self-proclaimed meathead listeners of conservative radio shows like this one I mention. If you dont want to be grouped with this meaty demographic, then go vegan and be a true progressive.
